Half term information Summer 1 2026

We read the excellent and very thought provoking text Wonder in English this half term.  The children took time to consider what beauty means and reflected on how this is seen within society. We role-played different bullying scenarios between characters, wrote a heated dialogue and a story based on what the bully’s life was like outside of school. The children really enjoyed watching the film during the last week of term.
We were immensely proud of the children’s efforts during SATs week. The children enjoyed the SATs breakfast experience and coped incredibly well with the tests. They should be as proud of themselves as we are of them!
 
This term, we have been practising our athletics skills in PE to help prepare the children for sports day, as well as developing our cricket and football skills.
 
During the final week of the term, we started practising for our production: Shakespeare Rocks, which the children are very enthusiastic about. The majority of us were then off to PGL for three action packed days, whilst the remaining children had fun doing a variety of activities at school.
