Spring 1 Half Term Information 2021

This term has seen Year 5 immersed in China! We have seen some fantastic home learning which has complemented our fact finding in school. The topic lessons have covered a combination of modern day China and its recent and ancient history. Our artwork has been topic based and allowed the children to have some freedom with choices of materials that they have available at home.

In English, the children have been reading traditional Chinese folktales and writing their own. The children particularly enjoyed some cross-curricular writing in science when they wrote the journey an animal goes on through its lifecycle.

We are unbelievably proud of the children this term, they have coped so well whether they have been in school or learning from home. We can’t wait until we are back together but for now – a massive well done to each and every one of you.
