Termly Information Spring 1 2020

This half term, our learning has taken us to the top and bottom of the world and beyond. From Antarctica to outer space, it has been a journey of exploration and excitement.

Learning linked to Antarctica:
-A visit from a real life explorer who works for The Antarctic Survey.
-Investigating ice and taking part in ice themed experiments.
-Watching age appropriate video clips which gave us lots of facts about Emperor Penguins.
-Reading penguin themed stories.
and then labelling Emperor penguin pictures.

Learning linked to Space:
-Finding out about the famous astronaut Tim Peake.
-Recording questions about space to send to Tim Peake.
-Taking part in Astronaut training.
-Comparing and measuring using planets.

We have also been enjoying exploring and investigating on cold and frosty mornings. Many of us have got our fingers crossed for a sprinkling of snow before Winter comes to an end.
