School Uniform and what your child needs

Parents/carers must send their children to school in clothing that is comfortable and appropriate for all activities.

The Friends of Monkfield Park (PTA) provide a service of good quality, second-hand school clothing, please contact them by emailing sh.uniform.monkfieldpark@gmail.com

 

School Uniform:

-School sweatshirt or school cardigan

-White polo shirt

-Plain grey trousers or skirts (or grey jogging bottoms for Reception children)

-In the Summer, children may wear a green and white gingham dress or grey school uniform shorts.  We request that skirt lengths should be at least knee length.

-Outdoor shoes that are suitable for safe, active play.  The school recommends black shoes, not trainers.  For safety reasons, high heels are not acceptable footwear.

 

PE Kit children to come to school in PE kit on their specific PE day

 

Plain white t-shirt

Blue shorts

-Socks

Plimsolls/Trainers

Tracksuit for cold weather

 

-Jewellery may not be worn in school. The only exceptions are watches and studs for pierced ears, which must be removed during any lessons involving physical exercise.

-Long hair should be tied  back for PE and DT activities

-Nail varnish, make up and fake tattoos are not permitted,

 

Other items

-An overall to protect clothing during Art and DT

-For swimming in Year 4, children need a swimsuit or trunks and a towel

-A water bottle

-A book bag
